Taking more than 42 units
There is a courtesy available to students in their last semester who need only one or two units to graduate but want a three unit elective. Students can enroll in that elective as an Independent Study course and take it to fulfill the exact number of unit(s) needed for graduation. This "fake" Independent Study would not count towards the Independent Study limit. Each student's situation must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, so please contact the EWMBA Program Office for details.
Students are not allowed to take courses above and beyond the 42 units needed for graduation, aside from the situation outlined above. However, students are encouraged to take advantage of the alumni auditing program once they graduate.
