The Clausen Center International Business Fellowships


The Clausen Center offers up to 5 merit-based fellowships annually in the amount of $1,000 each to students whose academic coursework, personal accomplishments, and future plans demonstrate leadership potential in an internationally-focused career. As an example, Clausen Fellow Jessica Huang, '08, spent five weeks in Uganda pursuing independent research on the potential of using white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) as a sustainable alternative to fuel-based lighting in urban and rural households of Uganda.


Eligibility


Students must have at least one year of study remaining at Haas in order to be eligible. Undergraduate Juniors and First Year MBAs may apply. Evening and Weekend MBA students as well as students pursuing concurrent degrees may apply if they are not in their last year.

 

Deadline


Completed applications are due by April 4th, 2008. Winners will be announced by the end of April.


Application


To apply, please submit the following information in a typed proposal:


  • a current resume
  • 250 words explaining your international accomplishments and potential contributions to the field of international business and policy. Also include how you would use the $1000 to further your education in international management.
  • a list of all relevent coursework at Haas through the Spring 2008 semester. Include grades where applicable.

Turn in applications to Elizabeth Kovats, in Room F445. You can slide it under the door.
