Real Estate Program

MBA Program

Real Estate at the Haas School of Business is a focus area within the MBA Program. Students in the Real Estate Program take coursework in topics such as development, finance, law, and planning, and participate in activities sponsored by the Berkeley Real Estate Club, the ACRE (Accelerating Careers in Real Estate) Program, and the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, as well as by related local industry organizations.

The program prepares its graduates for a broad range of career paths in a variety of industry segments, including development, private equity, investment banking, government housing agencies, and lending and portfolio or asset management, and across many different product types, including residential, office, retail, industrial, and hospitality.

With its rigorous and challenging curriculum and prestigious, award-winning faculty, the program combines a strong analytical focus with hands-on field experience. Students have access to leading industry guest speakers and adjunct professors, and participate in real-world case studies and class projects. In addition, through the Fisher Center and the ACRE program, students develop strong partnerships within the real estate community.

Students can also participate in real estate case competitions against other leading MBA real estate teams from across the country.

Course offerings in the real estate track take the form of lectures, projects, case studies, and customized individual projects. These targeted courses include:

Enhancing the curriculum, the Fisher Center provides a dynamic context where academics, students and professionals can work together in a stimulating environment that integrates research, teaching and professional development.
