The Haas Global Management Concentration is a rigorous program for UC Berkeley business majors who are truly dedicated to pursuing an internationally oriented education and career. This program enables Haas students to study abroad, improve language skills, and pursue a variety of international business and area studies courses. In recognition of the rigor of this program, the concentration will be noted on the final transcript and on a certificate from the Haas School of Business.
All course work for the GMC will need to be completed at UC Berkeley or abroad through either the Education Abroad Program (EAP) or any other UC-transferable program. College course work from accredited schools prior to enrollment at UC Berkeley may not apply.
The concentration has four components and the courses can be completed at UC Berkeley or abroad:
At least one semester abroad through either the Education Abroad Program (EAP) or any other UC-transferable program.
Completion of the 3rd year level of a language at UC Berkeley (or equivalent.)
There are several ways to complete this requirement:
UGBA 178: Introduction to International Business plus 3 international business electives.
The three international business electives:

The three courses:
Are you interested in this challenging program and the opportunity to set yourself apart from the rest? These are the first steps to take:
You declare the GMC by completing the required courses and submitting the GMC worksheet (.pdf) to the Study Abroad Advisor. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org no later than the last day of classes in the semester you graduate.
The worksheet will be reviewed for approval. Upon approval, your information will be sent to the Registrar's office. The registrar will include the completion of the GMC to your transcript. It will appear only in the "memorandum" section of the transcript, not on the diploma.
If you have any questions, please contact the Haas Undergraduate Program at 510-642-1421 or stop by S450 Haas to set up an appointment with the international study advisor.
