Applying to the Haas School of Business
Minimum Eligibility for Continuing UC Berkeley Applicants
Students preparing to apply for the business major must satisfy the following major-specific requirements for the undergraduate program of the Haas School of Business:
- Prerequisites: All prerequisites for letter grades
- Breadth: Seven-course breadth requirement
- Language: The foreign language requirement
- Units: Completion of at least 60 semester units
All courses required for admission must be completed by the end of the Spring semester prior to starting at the Haas School of Business.
One course may not be used to satisfy both a prerequisite and a breadth requirement for the business administration major.
Students with exam credit should review the AP, IB and A Level Information to determine how exam credit may be applied to program requirements. Students who have taken college coursework from accredited schools prior to enrollment at UC Berkeley may fulfill requirements with UC-transferable courses that fit the Haas prerequisite, breadth and foreign language guidelines. Most academic courses are UC-transferable if comparable to courses offered at UC. Vocational and personal enrichment classes do not qualify.
Competition for available seats from first-time bachelor of science candidates does not allow us to review applications from students who have already earned a bachelor's degree.
