As the second-oldest business school in the United States, the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley is one of the world’s leading producers of new ideas and knowledge in all areas of business, which includes the distinction of having two of its faculty members receive Nobel Prize in Economics over the past 15 years. The school offers outstanding management education to about 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students each year who come from around the world to study in one of its six degree granting programs.
The school‘s mission is to develop innovative business leaders who redefine how we do business. We strive to put new ideas into action in all areas of an organization, emphasizing corporate and ethical responsibility. The school’s distinctive culture is defined by four key principles:
- Question the Status Quo
- Confidence without Attitude
- Students Always
- Beyond Yourself
The Berkeley Business Academy for Youth (B-BAY) introduces middle and high school students to the business world every year. Students get a chance to experience campus life at UC Berkeley, the world’s premier public university.
The program fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration through a project-based curriculum.
B-BAY is presented by the Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH), and helps to support the center’s programs for under-resourced Bay Area youth.
