HOW TO APPLY (Summer 2015)
Application: Prospective students are required to fill out the online application, write a one page, single spaced essay: Describe yourself as a student; your likes and dislikes about school, What interests you about Berkeley Business Academy for Youth and what do you hope to accomplish during the program. Essays must be written by the student.
A non-refundable $75.00 application fee must accompany the copmpleted application. Applications will not be reviewed if fees are not included.
The admissions team looks for academically motivated, mature students who are interested in attending the Berkeley Business Academy for Youth Middle School Program because they have an interest in developing their knowledge of business or a passion for business. The application and accompanying materials should convey and communicate the student's level of maturity and motivation.
Provide record of immunizations according to California immunization regulations.
Application Deadline: (June 1, 2015)
Students are encouraged to apply prior to the application deadline as applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Two-Week Non-Credit Course
Domestic Commuting $1,500
Domestic Residential $4,000*
International (Residential only) $5,000*
*This amount covers the cost of tuition, room and board, supervised residences, breakfast and dinner, transportation between University of California Berkeley and the San Francisco International Airport, as well as travel expenses for B-BAY weekend extracurricular excursions. Not included in this charge is student planned off-campus events and incidentals. Residential students are expected to cover expenses such as laundry, personal items, and admissions fees for optional activities around the city.
When we receive your complete application (meaning your application and all supplemental materials), you will be notified by e-mail. An admissions decision will be made and e-mailed to you within two weeks.
- Students admitted into the Berkeley Business Academy for Youth will have 10 days from their acceptance date to confirm their attendance. Applicants are not enrolled until full payment is received.
