Commitment to Diversity

Diversity at Haas

Consortium for Graduate Study in Management

The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management is an alliance of top business schools working in partnership with corporations to encourage diversity in business. Specifically, it is committed to increasing the participation of underrepresented minorities–African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans–in business schools and in the ranks of corporate leaders. When Berkeley-Haas rejoined the Consortium in 2010, applications from under-represented minorities in the full-time MBA program increased 44%.

Consortium Fellows benefit from more than financial support. They join a vibrant community of Consortium Liaisons, mentors, and activities. At Berkeley-Haas, the Consortium pursues strategies to strengthen research, teaching and public service; to extend pathways for access and success; and to foster an engaging, healthy climate on campus.

In 2014, Berkeley-Haas students brought home the Consortium's T.E.A.M. trophy.
