Haas’ ambassador in Morocco

Ali is currently Managing Director at H2dev, an investment banking boutique based in Casablanca Morocco. The company operates in corporate finance and strategy consulting, providing first class advisory to leading Corporates and Institutions in the country. It also develops and runs investments funds - including a MAD 2.4 bn Real Estate fund, and has proprietary investments in Media - including Actuel, a leading weekly newspaper in Morocco.

Prior to joining H2dev, Ali worked for 7 years at Lafarge Group as Strategy Head for the cement business, CEO of the Moroccan gypsum unit and deputy CEO of Lafarge Gypsum for South Continental Europe and MENA. Ali started his career at Attijariwafa Bank, the country’s leading financial institution, where during his 10 years tenure he was successively Head of Information Systems and Head of Organization and Strategic Plans.

Ali is originally from Casablanca, Morocco. He studied civil engineering in Paris, France. He is a graduate from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées, Paris. He received his MBA from, of course, Haas in 1997. During his spare time Ali enjoys biking, contemporary art, jazz and philosophy.
