As a member of your Undergraduate Reunion Committee, you are a key advisor and class leader working with Haas to plan your professional school spring reunion.

Responsibilities & Benefits

  • Make a gift or a pledge to the Haas Fund* at the start of the fiscal year before asking classmates to do so.
  • Attend volunteer meetings/retreats (September, February)
  • Ensure data Integrity: Communicate any changes in a classmate's contact information
  • Encourage submission of Alumni Notes for Berkeley-Haas magazine*
  • Write or approve two email appeals
  • Participate in two VIP conference calls with Dean Lyons (fall and spring)


BS Reunion Responsibilities (if in a reunion year):

  • Recruit volunteers for your Class Reunion Committee
  • Host/Plan class socials during reunion weekend (optional)
  • Attend Reunion activities (October 4th-6th)
  • Make solicitations calls to classmates
  • Attend University Relation's Volunteer Leadership Retreat in February
  • Access to Dean Lyons and other senior Haas leaders
  • Networking with other alumni leaders at retreats and socials
  • Training and a personal staff liaison
  • Meet faculty, stay professionally sharp & in-the-know, and additional learning opportunities at retreats
  • Complimentary admission to select Berkeley-Haas events
  • Recognition in Annual Report and website

  • An exemplar of the school's defining principles
  • Understand how the Haas Fund supports the school's mission and goals.
  • Committed to increasing alumni participation and giving to the Haas Fund; a current Haas Fund donor, willing to encourage others to support the school.

Volunteer Check List

Embody our culture:
  • Demonstrate the Berkeley-Haas culture by embodying our defining principles, and carry a Haas Culture Card to share with alumni & colleagues
  • Post notes/stories within my social/micro networks to build awareness of and appreciation for the Haas School and our defining principles
  • Recommend 3+ classmates to be profiled on how they embody our culture
Serve our community:
  • Ensure my online profile in @cal is current & visible to the community, and upload a photo
  • Attend at least one Berkeley-Haas Regional or Signature Event
  • Inform my classmates about upcoming Haas events
  • Take the call — connect with alumni and students about career or industry-related topics
  • Be active in online communities
  • Ask my Haas friends and colleagues to update and maintain their @cal profiles
  • Submit an Alumni Note for an upcoming BerkeleyHaas Magazine
  • Build a Haas presence in my company/firm; to "Hire Haas" by encouraging
    • HR to post internships for Haas students
    • HR to post job openings for Haas students and alumni
Support the realization of our financial future
  • Make a donation to the Haas Fund by campaign deadline of June 30th
  • Invest in Berkeley-Haas by
    • Considering increasing my support this year over past years
    • Ensuring that my employer matches my annual fund donations to Haas (if applicable)
  • Review a list of classmates and/or alumni, recommend potential donors to my staff liaison
Leverage lifelong learning
  • Suggest other alumni who can serve as speakers on campus or at a Chapter event
  • Visit and view some of the numerous lectures and seminars posted on Haas Insights
  • Review UC Berkeley Center for Executive Education's (CEE) website and course offerings, and consider leveraging my 15% alumni discount to attend a course — executive.berkeley.edu
  • Share the CEE course selection with my class, employer, & friends
  • MBA Alumni: Review the MBA Alumni Audit Program course selection (sent every December 15th and July 15th) and consider sitting in on a class
