Albert H. Schaaf, professor emeritus, passed away on March 29, 2003. He joined the business school faculty in 1955 after receiving his Ph.D. in economics from UC Berkeley that same year. Over his long career he published numerous articles on real estate and finance. Schaaf was made an emeritus professor in 1978, and he subsequently retired from the faculty in 1980.
Schaaf is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and his son, Thomas, both of Berkeley. He is also survived by his daughter, Margaret, and two granddaughters, Madeleine and Rebecca, all of Seattle.
