The Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH)

RISE Overview

The name RISE stands for Responsibility Inspires the Strive for Excellence. A new program offering at the Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas, RISE will provide currently enrolled YEAH freshmen, sophomores and juniors with a forum to further develop and strengthen their academic, personal and professional skills. The program is not a requirement of YEAH. RISE will be rigorous and is designed for students who are motivated and able to take advantage of an additional opportunity offered by YEAH.

Time Commitment
RISE@YEAH will take place two Saturdays a month from 10AM-2PM.

Mentors
RISE@YEAH will be led by UC Berkeley Alumni who are young business professionals, and will be supported by Lucas Abbott, High School Director

Sessions
The 1st half of each session is focused on tutoring (Math and English). The 2nd half of each session is targeted towards personal and professional development.

Development
RISE@YEAH will leverage creative and dynamic workshops to develop skills in areas critical for academic, personal and professional success: public speaking/communication, debate, business-specific writing, leadership, and quantitative skills.

RISE@YEAH will also provide students with exposure to a variety of business topics, industries (marketing/advertising, retail/fashion, consulting, accounting/finance, etc.) and business leaders.

Final Project
In order to successfully graduate from the RISE@YEAH program, each student will be required to complete a final project (two students per project).
