The Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH)
RISE Fellows Academy Overview
The RISE Fellows Academy is an innovative program offering at the Center for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH), and was founded in 2010 by Colin Da Cunha, Haas B.S. '07. RISE, which stands for Responsibility Inspires the Strive for Excellence, is designed for high-potential youth currently enrolled in YEAH's core high school track. Fellows are admitted through a highly competitive application process.
Through a combination of lectures, workshops, case studies and experiential learning activities, fellows are challenged to think critically, strategically and creatively. Fellows will also receive training in public speaking, presentation delivery and business writing, and will be exposed to a variety of business topics, industries, companies and business leaders. Sessions are led by UC Berkeley graduates, young business professionals and guest speakers from both the academic and business fields.
The mission of the RISE Fellows Academy is to prepare high-potential youth from under-resourced communities for success in a knowledge economy.
