UC Berkeley Center for Executive Education at the Haas School of Business offers a portfolio of courses developed by academia’s and industry’s most forward-thinking minds. This position oversees specific technical and operational activities of the Marketing group in the Center for Executive Education (CEE), to support the unit's mission.  The position provides an essential combination of business and technical expertise to support Marketing, Sales, Programs, and Services functions.  It supports and maintains the online media presence, outreach, visibility, and reputation of CEE.  Primary job responsibilities include maintaining the CEE website and Content Management System (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The role coordinates the technical interface and integration between the website and the CRM, including registration/transaction forms.   Assignments include a combination of general business and IT tasks, user support, business analysis, and project management.


Maintains the Center for Exec Education’s website using the Drupal Content Management System. Performs regular maintenance, monitors security, and resolves issues as they arise. Delivers site performance and usage reports and strategizes with Marketing Manager to design site improvements.

Specific tasks include:
•  CEE website structure design
•  CEE website development and maintenance, web file and folder access
•  CEE web analytics and usage reporting
•  CEE web applications maintenance, and as part of a project team, web applications development
•  Performs quality assurance and testing
•  Documents the technical details and operations of the website and CMS
•  Supports and trains CEE staff on the use of the website and CMS
•  Helps maintain security configurations.

Maintains CEE’s Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system across all functions.
•  Develops conversion and system implementation plans or participates in developing portions of plans
•  Helps analyze business problems to be solved via automation
•  Manages and documents all CRM business processes and workflows
•  Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops collaborative plans for streamlining CRM-related unit processes
•  Aligned with CEE needs, edits, customizes, and documents the CRM database
•  Maintains data integrity and quality through data cleanup, using a combination of Salesforce and third-party data integrity/cleansing tools and services.
•  Provides CRM system technical support and maintenance for CEE staff
•  Designs, develops and delivers CRM reports and dashboards
•  Performs quality assurance and testing
•  Supports and trains CEE staff on the use of the CRM system
•  Helps maintain security configurations.
•  Applies appropriate release/change management procedures and documents accordingly

Develops or participates in developing new website, CMS, and CRM functionalities aligned with Marketing goals.  Analyzes moderately complex processes or helps formulate logic for new systems. Influences the strategic planning and roadmap for the same.

Using data obtained from the website, CMS and CRM systems, performs business analytics and provides recommendations to Marketing manager.

Required Qualifications

•  Salesforce general architecture, workflows, data import/export, data quality/integration, reports, dashboards.
•  Knowledge of professional concepts of enterprise website architecture and technical design.
•  Drupal Version 7 Content Management system: general architecture, template and theme design, tools and modules, underlying application code.
•  Web scripting and markup languages: HTML5, XML, XHTML, PHP, ASP.NET, Javascript, jQuery.
•  Web developer utilities: Dreamweaver, Photoshop.
•  Web search engine technology: Google search appliance
•  Web and Social Media analytics tools: Google Analytics, etc.
•  Skills necessary for effective communication, both written and verbal.
•  Understands the different best practices for communicating online via websites, social media, blogs, tweets, Facebook channels, etc. – understand how to apply these best practices:
•  Skill to monitor and assess business and technical processes or services and make necessary improvements.
•  Works with others across the School to successfully incorporate new technologies into strategic planning and objectives.  As appropriate, implements new technologies to enhance organizational effectiveness.
•  Background check required

•  Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
•  3-5 years professional experience in managing all technical/production aspects of an enterprise-level website

Preferred Qualifications

•  Salesforce CRM developer experience.
•  Online Marketing Systems: Genius, Eloqua, Constant Contact, etc.
•  Reporting and Analytics tools: Conga Composer, Crystal, etc.
•  Development/Integration with Socia Media: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
•  Development/Integration with Event Management systems: CVent, Acteva, Certain, ScheduleOnce, etc.
•  Web server software: Apache, Microsoft IIS.
•  Web-related databases: MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
•  Version Control utilities: Git, Team Foundation Server

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this full-time contract position will range between $46,200 annually up to $65,000 annually.

This is a fulltime, one-year contract position.  The position is classified as an Information Systems Analyst 2.
