Haas Computing Center
A variety of computing resources and classes are managed through Haas Computing Services Training Resources.
CalPact (Cal People and Computer Training)
CalPact offers computer software training on programs including Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker, HTML, Dreamweaver, and Oracle Calendar for UC Berkeley staff. Courses may be delivered on-site, online, on campus or through external partners.
IST (Information Systems Technology)
IST offers computer training resources for first time users and for those wanting to acquire new skills.
ETS (Educational Technology Services)
ETS offers hands-on multimedia training workshops for UC Berkeley faculty and staff about web sites, web communication tools, web video and audio, multimedia, and classroom technologies
Campus Business Systems Guide
This is a resource for information about the administrative systems used at UC Berkeley to carry out advancement, financial, human resources, and student-related business activity, as well as how to become a user of these systems.
The Guide provides a brief description of each system and outlines: 1- Steps to request system access, 2- Required/recommended training and how to enroll and 3- Where to go for more information. Systems covered include BFS, HRMS, BAIRS/BIS, OPTRS, CARS, CADS and others.
- CADS training is one component of UC Berkeley’s Advancement Training program that offers comprehensive training, professional development, and networking. The Cal Advancement Data System (CADS) contains one million constituent records and three million gift transaction records to support fundraising efforts across campus.
