UC BERKELEY'S LEADING EDGE TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE


WHAT: The sixth annual Leading Edge Technology Conference, organized by students at the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, provides technology and business leaders, entrepreneurs, students, and academics with an open forum to share how their visions and solutions are reshaping the marketplace and our lives. This year's meeting features 14 panel discussions on topics ranging from biotech to nanotech, as well as a technology product fair.


WHEN: Saturday, September 20, 2003, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.


WHO: Keynote speakers:
9:15 am: W.J. Sanders III, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Advanced Micro Devices
4:30 pm: Cary Fulbright, Chief Strategy Officer, Senior Vice President, New Market and Brand Development, Salesforce.com, Inc.


WHERE: UC Berkeley campus, Haas School of Business, Arthur Andersen Auditorium. 2200 Piedmont Avenue, between Hearst Avenue and Bancroft Way in Berkeley, California.


BACKGROUND: Panel topics include: Mobile and Wireless Innovations, The Next Big Thing, Renewable Energy, Investing in Public High-Tech Companies, Nanotechnology, Venture Capital, Gaming, Wireless Sensor Networks, Enterprise Software, Security, Online Music, Medical Devices, What's Next for Biotech?, and Technology for Social Change.


The conference will also support a technology product fair. The EdgeXpo product fair will run concurrently with the morning sessions of the Leading Edge conference.
