University: UC Berkeley
No job excites me more than being a financial consultant in San Francisco. I really think the job requires some skills I have been passionately working on and will continue to improve. Before transferring to U.C. Berkeley, I had some amazing opportunities to develop my leadership skills as a captain of my community college golf team, president of an honors society, and with some responsibilities associated with California Service Dogs Senate Bill 312. My favorite aspect of all these opportunities and learning experiences is bringing the best out of everyone, reducing or eliminating worry and doubt, and bringing added confidence to spark their passion to a degree it hasn’t reached before, resulting in better productivity. These opportunities have sharpened my communication skills and my ability to work under pressure. I really aspire to learn everything I can from my classmates and professors in the BCPA program over the next 2 summers, to get my CPA, work as a consultant for a few years beginning in fall 2021 or very early 2022, come back to Berkeley Haas for an MBA, and absolutely kill it by being the best asset I can possibly be for a great firm. I refuse to be average or good enough, and I genuinely trust BCPA will equip me with the skills I need to do great work. Go Bears!
