It is amazing how life pulls you in directions that you never thought were possible. I came to UC Berkeley four years ago  intending to major in business. However, I am now wrapping up a B.S. in applied mathematics with the intent to go into audit or financial advisory in public accounting. One of the biggest lessons that I learned over the last 6 months as I made the decision to focus my early career on accounting was to embrace adversity and be open to receiving guidance and help from those around me. When I am not studying for my classes, I enjoy: golfing, watching sports, playing cards, and recently exploring an interest in mechanics. I really look forward to engaging with my fellow peers in the BCPA program as we grow together, work towards the common goal of attaining our CPA licenses, and blaze our own unique paths in the accounting and greater financial world.
