In December 2019, I plan to graduate from UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics. After graduation, I plan to spend the next 6 months in Germany serving at a local church in Berlin, completing my life-time goal of becoming fluent in another language. Upon returning to the States, I hope to finish the remaining requirements for CPA eligibility, and start a full-time job. I am not sure exactly what I want to do yet but am interested in going to live and work in Germany. Just a little about me, I am a huge fan of the outdoors and love activities including hiking, fishing, running, and spending time at national parks. I look forward to this summer and all I will learn.

I love travel and I’m always up for an adventure, so it’s easy for me to say that I am looking forward to this one. I’ve always been passionate about accounting, I truly enjoy budgeting and analyzing financial issues. So when Prof. Webb came to UC Merced to introduce the BCPA program I was instantly intrigued. I’m all about creating your own opportunities and once I saw this one I couldn’t let it pass me by. I look forward to becoming part of UC Berkeley’s community.

2019 will wrap up a personal journey of going back to school and finishing my undergrad in Economics. During this time, I found accounting to come natural to me. Joining the BCPA program has given me another journey and allow me to pursue a career in accounting. I look forward to becoming part of this charter and remain in the Cal family a little longer. One fun fact, I will be traveling to Asia for the first time. Can’t wait!

I will be graduating from UC Berkeley this summer. Although I majored in Economics and Psychology, I’ve always enjoyed accounting courses the most. For me the BCPA program will not only give me the opportunity to learn from a group of passionate students and professors but also allow me to build my own personal network of professionals. With this, I can build a strong foundation for a future career in accounting.

I think the BCPA program is ideal, as it allows me to focus on Economics classes when school is in session, and I can brush up on some technical accounting frameworks over the summer while I work a summer internship position in accounting. Furthermore, it allows me to get ahead on the accounting requirements required to sit for the CPA exam, so when I begin to work a full-time job, I don’t have to worry about work-study balance issues. One fun fact is I like to do portrait photography, and would love to go out on photography outings with anyone else who is interested.

After fantastic years at Cal and gaining professional experience for some years, I am looking forward to going back to school for the BCPA program during this summer. Although I majored in Mathematics, I have built up a strong interest in an accounting career. I was referred by one of my friends who participated in the BCPA program in the past.  She strongly recommended BCPA’s networking opportunity with global firms. I truly appreciate BCPA offering me such great opportunity and preparing me with accounting knowledge to sit for CPA exam. One fun fact about me is that I am also a table tennis athlete with current world ranking No. 4 in class 8. During the years at Cal, I represented Cal in National Collegiate, and helped Cal team achieved great results.
