You should expect a very intensive experience, with the weekdays filled with classes, tutorials, workshops, guest speakers, and field trips. Also, during the evenings and part of each weekend, you should expect to be preparing for classes.
What’s a day like at BASE?
7:00-8:00am | Gather with classmates for breakfast in the Foothill Dining Hall (dorm residents only*) |
8:00-10:00am | Accounting lecture with Professor Briginshaw |
10:00-10:30am | Hang out with classmates for coffee and snacks during morning break. |
10:30-12:30pm | Organizational Behavior lecture with Professor Schroth |
12:30-1:30pm | Lunch |
1:30-3:30pm | Marketing lecture with Professor Azhar |
7:00-10:00pm | Meet in smaller study groups to work on assignments (example**) |
Also, this article in “Poets and Quants‎” mentions the BASE schedule from the students’ point of view.
(*) Typically, about 25 out of 50 students stay at the dorm. The rest of students make their own housing arrangements.
(**) Group meeting times are up to the students in the group. Some students may decide to meet earlier (like immediately after class at 3:30pm) to work on group projects.
