The Application Process
The B-BAY Bootcamp is an intensive program designed for high school founders who have already moved past the “idea phase” and are actively building a product or service. The program focuses on scaling, advanced business strategy, and refining your leadership skills within the UC Berkeley and Haas startup ecosystem.
B-BAY High School Summer Entrepreneurship Skills is a foundational program for business and entrepreneurship. Students are matched with teams and have to work on original ideas brainstormed during the program. The immersive college experience program focuses on business research and planning
B-BAY High School Summer Bootcamp is a residential startup accelerator for high school teams and solo-founders with validated ideas and traction. Students are supported through Growth Labs to scale their ideas, build new features, and get feedback from real founders and startup operators.
The Entrepreneurship Essentials is for students who want to learn how to build a business plan from scratch. The Bootcamp is specifically for those who already have a product in the market and are looking for advanced mentorship and growth strategies.
Rising 10th-12th grade students are eligible to apply. Students should be building ideas in teams or as solo-founder with demonstrated traction of 250+ active users or $1,000+ in revenue.

Application decisions will be released in March-April 2026.
If you have attended school outside the state of California for the previous two consecutive years before applying, you are considered an out of state student.
If you do not have proof of California residence status and do not pay California income taxes, you are considered a non-resident.
No. To abide by California law, students must provide proof of immunization and COVID-19 vaccination before starting the program.
We accept payment by credit card for domestic applicants and payment by credit card or wire transfer from international applicants. All payments must indicate that payment is for the Berkeley Business Academy for Youth.
Housing
No. B-BAY high school sessions are immersive sessions. All high school students are required to reside in the dorms.
Rooms are assigned based on the information provided in your application.
No. Students must stay on campus, including weekends. You are required to participate in all activities.
No. Minors are not permitted to bring a vehicle to campus.
Yes. All B-BAY students will be supervised throughout the session.
All students must remain in groups of three or more when leaving the dorms to explore the campus or surrounding areas. We want you to enjoy your time and explore safely! Our Residential Assistants will be in the vicinity of all activities to support you and your group.
The Program
Attending B-BAY can be a valuable addition to your college application. It demonstrates your interest in business and your motivation to look beyond the resources available at your own school. Because most high-school programs do not provide the depth of instruction and practical experience that B-BAY offers, this sets B-BAY alumni apart from other candidates.
No. You must attend 98% of the sessions during the two weeks to receive a certificate of completion.
Yes. Students who do not complete all assigned work will not receive a certificate of completion.
