Julia Oran

With a background in computer science from the University of Chicago, Julia has built a career at the intersection of technology, business, and social impact, working across both the private and nonprofit sectors.
Before joining Haas, Julia worked in various technical roles, including as a Software Engineer at Target, a Solution Architect at Civis Analytics, and a Technical Project Manager at The Washington Post. Julia’s passion for social impact led her to Code for America, where she served as a Solutions Engineer, working to create technological solutions that enhance government services related to criminal justice and the social safety net. Throughout her career, Julia has remained committed to applying her technical expertise to make a positive difference in the world, particularly within the nonprofit sector.
Now at Haas, Julia is further honing her business and leadership skills, with the goal of returning to the social impact space after graduation. She is excited to explore how business strategies, technology, and data can be harnessed to solve pressing societal issues and create scalable, sustainable solutions.
