Viridiana (Viri) Santacruz
CSSL Student Advisory Board Member
Viri was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and is proudly Mexican-American. She is a first-generation college graduate and attended Stanford University, where she majored in Economics. She is now a second-year, Full-Time MBA at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Viri is dedicated to working in the social impact space. She started her career at Draper Richard Kaplan Foundation, a venture philanthropy dedicated to helping scale early stage nonprofits and social enterprises. She then joined Emerson Collective, where she worked in the finance department, and later on the philanthropy team. She spent the last two years sourcing and supporting a diverse group of immigrant justice organizations. This summer, Viri interned at The Bridgespan Group as an MBA summer consultant.
Viri holds a variety of leadership roles on DEI initiatives at Haas – the First-gen club (1G@Haas), the Latinx club (ALMA), the Equity, Gender and Leadership (EGAL) student board, and the Race Inclusion Initiative (RII).
