Alumni Testimonials

Raymond Chao
MBA '23
After completing the Haas FTMBA program, Raymond continued to intentionally build his nonprofit board leadership skills through the Alumni Board Community (ABC). ABC provided structured opportunities to deepen his governance acumen, align his professional interests with mission-driven organizations, and access curated board openings. Through an opportunity sourced by ABC, Raymond was connected with Climate Action Pathways for Schools (CAPS). His experience, combined with a strong commitment to renewable energy, sustainability, and youth development, resonated deeply with the CAPS board. Following a unanimous board vote, Raymond joined CAPS as a board member in July 2025, where he now supports development, finance, and corporate outreach efforts.

I really enjoyed the programming. It pushed me to have several board conversations and I’m excited to join one soon. I wouldn’t have had the confidence or know how to do this without the program, it was exactly the push I needed!
