Paul Jansen

Paul is Director Emeritus from McKinsey & Company and Adjunct Professor at the Haas School of Business. At McKinsey & Company, he co-founded and led the Global Nonprofit Practice serving leading nonprofits and foundations on issues of strategy and organization. He is the author of many articles and reports challenging sector beliefs about performance, including a co-authored report entitled, The Dynamic Board: Lessons from High-Performing Nonprofits.
Paul currently serves as the board chair of CARE USA, a nonprofit focused on poverty alleviation in the poorest countries of the world; as a director of the SCE Fund, a foundation focused on helping students develop 21st century skills; and as a director of Zymergen, a biotech start-up. Paul previously served on the board of the SF Zoo, including 4 years as Board Chair.
