Steve Nagai-Ma

Over his 35-year career as a changemaker, Steve Nagai-Ma (he/him) founded and advised hundreds of successful non-profit organizations and social enterprises; helped to pass dozens of laws on issues ranging from clean water, health care, and consumer protection; co-authored a feature article for the Stanford Social Innovation Review on effective ways to apply Lean business principles to social change efforts (Summer 2015); and served as the Senior Advisor to an innovative non-profit startup that has effectively engaged millions of immigrants in the United States.
In 2001, AsianWeek named Steve their Asian American of the Year for his work to reduce the influence of money in politics. Currently, Steve leads a consultancy that supports organizations in creating large-scale social impact.
