Marie de Dieu Uwahorasenga

Global Reproductive Health, 2023-2025

Marie de Dieu’s background is in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, with extensive community-based experience working with youth and families, particularly at the intersection of reproductive health and nutrition. She recently earned her Master’s in Public Policy from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy, specializing in health, food, and nutrition policies. Committed to enhancing community well-being, her mission is to make a positive impact on people’s lives through equitable policies focusing on gender equality, reproductive health, and nutrition, especially in low-income communities. Throughout her career, she worked with organizations such as Solidaridad North America, the Essentials for Essential Workers Initiative (a California farmers organization), the National Child Development Agency (in Rwanda), Rwanda Girls Initiative, Global Give Back Circle, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Rwanda Office, and the Peace Corps. Uwahorasenga hails from Rwanda.
