Tenure: Aug, 2016 – May 2017 (~ 30 hours/month with heavier commitment during spring semester)

The Impact Leadership Fellow (Fellow) is a UC Berkeley graduate student who will work closely with Ben Mangan, Executive Director, and Cathy Garza, Program Director, to implement and deliver quality content for the Social Impact Collective’s 2017 Discovery Weekend and the 6 week online curriculum that immediately follows the Weekend. The Fellow will attend Discovery Weekend in Half Moon Bay, CA (Friday, March 10 – Sunday, March 12, 2017), interacting with Collective Members and faculty. The Fellow will also help prepare and attend the capstone event that follows the online class (usually in late April).
The Social Impact Collective is one of CSSL’s newest program offerings geared towards individuals seeking to create lasting social change through strategic philanthropy and/or impact investing. The Social Impact Collective provides members with a hybrid learning environment consisting of in-person, instructor-led, virtual, and cohort based meetings and projects.
In addition, the Fellow will be integrated into CSSL’s community: invited to attend all CSSL Advisory Board meetings, speaker series, and given preference to meet with Social Impact Fellows (2 leading Bay Area social enterprise practitioners/experts).
The position is classified as a Graduate Student Researcher (< 15% time) and is available immediately for the academic-year (September – May) position.
