We are accepting extended abstracts (up to one page) for papers to be presented at our fifth annual Berkeley Culture Conference, taking place January 10 and 11, 2023! We welcome culture-related work from a wide diversity of disciplines, including but not limited to the domains of psychology, sociology, economics, and strategy.

Please complete this brief survey by September 30, 2022 to submit an abstract. We plan to review abstracts and select presenters by October 21, 2022.

We encourage submissions from PhD students who might be interested in presenting their research in shorter formats. For the second year, we will award the Edgar Schein Best Student Paper Prize to one doctoral student presenter. To be considered for the prize, the submitted abstract must be first-authored or sole-authored by a PhD student. Evaluators will be looking for independent work in particular. Those who would like to be considered for the prize and whose work is accepted for presentation at the conference must submit a complete paper by November 15, 2022.

For now, we are planning for an in-person conference, but we will be continuously reviewing public health guidance on the matter. Even if you have doubts about whether you can travel, we encourage you to submit an abstract.
