Koichiro Ito Awarded Japanese Economic Association’s Prestigious Ishikawa Prize

Energy Institute alum and UC Berkeley Resource Econ PhD (2011) Koichiro Ito awarded Japanese Economic Association’s 2020 Ishikawa Prize for contributions to help solve economic and social problems in Japan.

“I was surprised and deeply honored to receive this award,” Ito tells EPIC. “Professor Ishikawa was a supremely influential economist in Japan. To be awarded a prize named after him is truly inspiring and motivating as I move forward in my career and seek to continue to live up to this honor.”
