“Rates, as everyone knows, are skyrocketing in California. And a piece of that is that when people install solar, they pay less towards the grid and all of the upkeep and wildfire prevention and payment for past wildfires and so forth. And that has been a piece of why our rates have been going up….the solar industry disputes that, but increasingly independent analyst have come to that conclusion, as did the CPUC. On the other hand, the solar industry is very concerned that if a solar adopters get less compensation, they will see a slowdown in business.“
