“When we are thinking about the US freight sector, people don’t really think about the trucks that ship stuff around. So, there are loads of trucks driving around the country… 73% of the US freight by value is shipped by a truck, about 42% of payload weight distance is also shipped by truck, and there are roughly 2 million truck drivers in the United States, so it’s a significant sector and source of employment. So the question we asked is ‘What if you could snap your fingers and turn the US into a fully electrified system?’“
