Severin Borenstein, Faculty Director of the Energy Institute, is featured on Cap Radio, discussing carbon-free energy goals and electricity demand. In particular, he touches on the prospect of California meeting its lofty goal of being carbon-free by 2045.
“If you look back 20 years at how technology has changed, that should make us humble about forecasting 20 years out what technology is going to be like. I am optimistic that we have great roadways to storage. If we can get that going, we will not need gas plants for much longer.”
