Californians Might be Asked to Conserve Energy during a Heatwave – June 2021
KTVU reports on Faculty Director of the Energy Institute, Severin Borenstein, discussing how California residents may be asked to reduce electricity use during the upcoming heatwave to avoid rolling blackouts.
“‘We’re in better shape this summer than we were last summer but I don’t think we’re in wildly better shape,’ says Severin Borenstein, a UC Berkeley energy economist.”
