At Berkeley Haas, a growing number of MBA students are interested in honing skills needed to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within organizations. EGAL strongly believes that these skills map to Equity Fluent Leadership competencies. To assess this across industries, we developed a survey – in partnership with our MBA student advisory board – to gauge from industry professionals what the most important competencies and skills are for equity practitioners in primary business functions.
From 141 responses over a period of 2 months in 2022, we gathered this data. These findings will be used to immediately begin supporting EGAL and the Berkeley Haas School of Business with curriculum development, student learning pathways, and career management and recruiting.
