Please join the Berkeley Haas DEI Office at the San Francisco Premiere of Prime Video’s A League of Their Own at the Castro Theatre on June 16th at 6:30 pm. This event will be part of the annual FrameLine Film Festival. In commemoration of the Stonewall uprising in June of 1969, we celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride throughout June in much of the US. This month is of significance for the decades-long legacy of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans and Queer ancestors and countless battles fought, and the continued struggle to be recognized as fully human.

A League of Their Own evokes the joyful spirit of Penny Marshall's beloved classic while widening the lens to tell the story of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball. The show takes a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a whole new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the League and outside of it.
