Berkeley Haas Diversity Symposium 2023
Virtual | Bay Area |
October 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Berkeley Haas Alumni Relations, the Office of Diversity Equity & Inclusion and MBA Admissions invite you to join us for the 3rd annual all-Haas Diversity Symposium: "A Conversation Towards Justice"
Within the last year Haas has added justice and belonging to our DEI framework and given what feels like an attack on DEI efforts in national politics, we believe it is doubly important to lead. We are bringing together the Haas community – prospective and current students, faculty, staff and alumni – for a thought-provoking event designed for current and future business leaders committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging. This year’s theme is centered around “Justice.”
Join us on Friday, October 13th to hear from Dr. Élida Bautista, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer as she provides a ‘State of DEIJB at Haas’ address followed by a lecture from Dr. Felix Owusu, Postdoctoral Scholar at Haas. Trained as an economist, Dr. Owusu's research blends data science, field experiments, and quasi-experimental research designs to understand the application of law and bureaucratic processes in law enforcement agencies and their impacts across race and class.
Zoom link will be shared 24-48 hours prior to the event.
