Diversity Series

The Berkeley Real Estate Alumni Association is working to heighten awareness of the issues with diversity in the real estate community. The hope is to educate our fellow alumni to challenge the status quo and become a diversity champion in the real estate industry. To that end we are implementing a Diversity Series which aims to dig into the what, the why, the where, and the how over a series of panel discussions.

Black Voices in Real Estate

The series will begin with a focus on the black community in real estate with a discussion on how black voices have been silenced and, in some ways, excluded from the industry, why it matters from an interpersonal, ethical, and economic standpoint, ways in which corporations can support their black employees and what companies can do to address the lack of diversity on real estate.

  • Elisse Douglass   Signature Development Group, Haas ’16
