December 8, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Diversity Series: The Berkeley Real Estate Alumni Association is working to heighten awareness of the issues with diversity in the real estate community. The hope is to educate our fellow alumni, several of whom as influential leaders, to challenge the status quo and become a diversity champion in the real estate industry. To that end, we are implementing a Diversity Series, which aims to dig into the what, the why, the where, and the how over a series of panel discussions.

Candid Conversations | Gentrification and Redevelopment
The second event in this series continues with a panel discussion on gentrification and redevelopment. We will hear from various sides of these contentious issues through panelists discussing their experience working in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco. We will take a close a look at the recent redevelopment projects that have been taking place there, and seek to understand what could have been done differently or more effectively.
