Measure ULA (LA’s recently passed “mansion tax”) mirrors a trend in local policies of using transfer taxes to raise funds for needed affordable housing and homelessness services, which has major consequences for the commercial real estate industry.

Our panel will discuss the impact of Measure ULA since its passing, efforts to repeal or amend the measure, other possible solutions for the homelessness/housing crises, as well as the broader topic of how the real estate industry can best engage with relevant local policy issues.
