DESCRIPTION:The East Bay Chapter of the Berkeley Haas Alumni Network invites you to join us at the Altarena Playhouse in Alameda for a holiday season play\, “The Thanksgiving Play.” \n\nAltarena Playhouse is the oldest continuously operating community theater in the Bay Area\, since 1938.\nThe show “The Thanksgiving Play”: Sunday\, Nov. 24th\, 2PM matinee – (doors from the street to the lobby open at 1PM\, and doors from the lobby to the performance theater open at 1:30PM).\nCoffee\, Cookies\, Wine\, Beer\, Mimosas\, etc. available for purchase in the lobby before the play and during intermission.\nAfter the show\, you can take a short drive to Park St.\, in Alameda\, and enjoy a delicious meal at one of the fine restaurants.   \n\nABOUT THE PLAY \nFrom Larissa Fasthorse\, the first known female Native American playwright on Broadway\, this wickedly funny satire cleverly shows how good intentions and cultural assumptions collide when a troupe of misguided teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Thanksgiving Day and Native American Heritage Month.   Cost: $30 Alumni and Guests (discounted from the standard pricing of $35).We are limited to 15 reserved seats\, so please register before we sell out.Register Here \nQuestions/Information: David Saltzer – dsaltzer@comcast.net
