East Bay Chapter: East Bay Regional Park’s Botanic Garden Tour

Enjoy a free, docent-led tour of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden. The beautiful garden along Wildcat Creek has one of the world’s best collections of California native plants.

 Established in 1940, the 10-acre garden includes most of California’s conifers and oaks, a nearly complete collection of California’s manzanitas and ceanothus, and thousands of other plant species and varieties, many of which should be in bloom. David Edelson, retired forest program director at The Nature Conservancy, will lead the tour.

Start Time: Gather at 10:45 am for an 11 am start.

Location: Meet at the Visitor’s Center/main entrance at the intersection of Wildcat Canyon Road and South Park Drive (1550 Wildcat Canyon Rd.) in Tilden Regional Park
