DESCRIPTION:Have you been trying to find the time to learn more about EGAL’s work and DEIB student initiatives at Berkeley Haas? Are you interested in building community while celebrating Equity Fluent Leadership? \nJoin us in-person on Thursday\, October 5 from 5-7 PM at Haas’s Spieker Forum for a fun and inspiring event that celebrates and builds Equity Fluent Leadership. The event will feature live presentations and performances on the main stage\, including: \nPorsche Veu aka The Poetic Activist is a bold & fiery artist\, speaker\, educator and author from Oakland\, Ca. She has years of experience in spoken word\, motivational speaking\, and workshop facilitation\, though she has been a creator and artist since childhood. Porsche uses her art to fight social injustice\, empower women\, youth\, & the Black community\, and advocate for mental & emotional health. Her first vulnerable stage poem “Caesar: A Poem About Suicide”\, pushed her to be unapologetically vulnerable and encourage others to erase shame & tell their own stories.  \nStop by to learn more about our student organizations and find out who will be awarded this year’s Equity Fluent Leadership award.
