Santa Barbara Alumni: Virtual Tour of Glacier National Park
January 5, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join Berkeley Haas Alumni of the Santa Barbara-Ventura region for a virtual tour of Montana’s Glacier National Park.
This enchanted land encompasses over one million acres and is home to over 700 lakes, 200 waterfalls, 700 miles of hiking trails and a small number of active glaciers that are, unfortunately, receding due to the effects of climate change.
Lindsay Brandt, Educational Park Ranger, will discuss the evolution of glaciers in the park, expectations for eventual extinction and impact on ecosystems. You’ll also learn about the Park’s diverse flora and fauna, including threatened species such as the Grizzly Bear and Lynx.
Beyond camping, hiking and viewing amazing natural landscapes, the Park offers opportunities for rock climbing, fly fishing, cross country skiing and kayaking. We have invited UCLA Anderson Alumni of the Ventura region to join us for this virtual tour.
Break out rooms will be available after the presentation for those interested in networking. A reminder and Zoom link will be sent the day before the presentation.
