Santa Barbara/Ventura Alumni: Ranger-led Virtual Tour of Yosemite

DAR, Chapter Events, Virtual

Virtual | Bay Area |
April 10 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Due to technical issues this event, originally scheduled for March 12, has now been rescheduled to Thursday April 10 at 5pm.

Yosemite National Park was founded in 1890 and designated a World Heritage Site in 1984. Over 3.5 million people visit every year! The Park covers over 1,200 acres and features stunning landscapes with granite cliffs, waterfalls, meadows, crystal clear streams and sequoia groves. Making the breathtaking scenery even more memorable is the opportunity to view a diverse range of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Our tour guide is a National Park Ranger who will make the Park come alive as he talks about the history of Yosemite, the most interesting places to visit and the outdoor activities best suited to different times of the year. You’ll also hear about the rich history of the indigenous tribes that still maintain ties to the region.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about one of America’s scenic wonders while gathering great ideas for a visit!
