In Becoming a Changemaker, Alex provides a fresh, inspiring and research-backed guide to developing the mindsets and leadership skills needed to navigate, shape, and lead change and to make a positive impact in our lives, career, and communities.

The book is based on his Berkeley Haas course, and includes a chapter on each of our Defining Leadership Principles. At UC Berkeley, Budak created and teaches the wildly-popular course Becoming a Changemaker, directs the Berkeley Haas Global Access Program, and teaches in Berkeley Executive Education programs.

He previously co-founded StartSomeGood, which has helped over 1,200 changemakers in over 50 countries raise millions of dollars to launch and scale new change initiatives. His book, Becoming a Changemaker, has been adopted by universities around the world and his work has been featured in the Washington Post, FastCompany, and Inc.
