Speaker’s Bio:  Dr. Johnson, a Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the CAL, directs the Calm Program which conducts research on how emotion and impulsivity related to the mental health domain. She has published over 200 manuscripts, including publications in leading Psychology journals. She has also co-authored 5 books, one of which is a best-selling textbook in Abnormal Psychology. 

Dr. Hinshaw, a Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the CAL, was Department Chair from 2004 to 2011. He is also a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the UCSF. His work focuses on developmental psychopathology and mental health stigma, and has authored over 400 articles, chapters, and over 13 books. He has been featured in the mainstream media such as NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and San Francisco Chronicle.
