The Evolving Landscape of AI in Business: Performance Disparities and Human Adaptation This talk will explore two critical aspects of AI’s integration into the business world. First, we’ll examine how AI assistants can create unexpected performance disparities among workers, potentially amplifying existing inequalities. Then, we’ll delve into how humans adapt their interactions with AI as its capabilities advance, highlighting the dynamic interplay between technological progress and human behavior. Taken as a whole, the talk will offer valuable insight into the current state and future trajectory of AI in business, entrepreneurship, and decision-making. 

Speaker bio: Prof. David Holtz, is an assistant professor in the Management of Organizations (MORS) and Entrepreneurship and Innovation groups at the Haas School of Business. He earned his PhD at the MIT Sloan School of Management, in the Information Technology (IT) group. He also holds an MA in Physics and Astronomy from Johns Hopkins University, and a BA in Physics from Princeton University.
