DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a very special event with Tennessee State Representative Justin Jones on Friday\, May 12\, 2023 at 7:00 PM in Hertz Hall at UC Berkeley. Rep. Jones will be in conversation with Angela Glover Blackwell\, founder of PolicyLink and Professor of Practice at the Goldman School of Public Policy. Earlier this month\, Rep. Jones became one of the most high-profile state representatives in the country when he and Rep. Justin Pearson were expelled and then reinstated to their seats after leading a gun control protest on the TN House floor. Since then\, he has emerged as a leading voice in the fight for common sense gun laws\, racial justice\, and the protection of our democratic values.  This will be a powerful\, wide-ranging conversation on activism\, gun violence\, race and democracy.
