Please join us for a  45-minute online talk on September 23 at 6.30 pm (London Local Time) by Professor Connson Locke, based on her popular Guardian Masterclass, that help you understand the nature of power and influence – and how you can influence those who have more power than you do.
Professor Locke uses psychological research to explain our perceptions of leaders, why those perceptions can be biased, especially when it comes to gender, and how we can manage those biases. You will leave with practical tips for becoming more influential.

Biography

Professor Connson Locke joined the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2008 where she teaches Leadership, Organisational Behaviour, and Negotiation and Decision Making.  Connson has over 30 years’ experience as an educator, coach, and consultant working in Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, and Australia.

Prior to entering academia, she served as Regional Training and Development Manager for the Boston Consulting Group where she was responsible for the learning and development of consulting staff in 10 offices across Asia Pacific. Connson holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Business Administration (Organisational Behaviour) from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Sociology from Harvard University where she graduated with honours.
