SUMMARY:UK Alumni: UC Pride UK Launch: Watch Party & Discussion
DESCRIPTION:UC Pride UK is excited to extend an invitation for you to join us in celebrating our launch through a virtual event. This event will encompass a watch party\, a movie discussion\, and an outline of our future endeavors for the UC Pride UK alumni club. \nDuring the watch party segment\, we will screen a curated selection of short films from the BFI Flare film festival’s Five Films For Freedom (pending schedule confirmation). These short films serve as a digital tribute to diverse LGBTQIA+ narratives worldwide\, advocating for the rights of individuals who identify as lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, transgender\, queer\, intersex\, and asexual. The Five Films for Freedom initiative is a collaboration between The British Council and BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival. \nFollowing the screenings\, the discussion will commence\, focusing on the themes explored in the movies and inviting reflections on personal experiences of coming out or supporting LGBTQ+ individuals.
